Camping

Hay guys, it's me - Sonia.

Last week was such a blast. I thought June was my favorite month due to Rodeo, but i think this year august has it beat.

I went on the church camp out last week. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! i had not been tent camping in about a million years (only a SLIGHT exaggeration lol) nor had i been camping in forever. i had such a good time.

the first night tho was of major interest. I THOUGHT i had pitched my tent on somewhat flat ground. however. that was NOT the case in the least bit. i kept sliding down, and really thought i was going to roll down the mountain. and since the boys had scurred us girls all the live long night, the girls wanted to sleep in my tent. of course, i didn't wanna get eatin by a bear alone, so i said yes. so now, we all thought we were all going to roll down the mountain, and then get eatin by a bear. i tried to get myles to sit outside all night long and sacrifice himself for me, but it didn't work. lol. oh well, and as you can see by my post, i didnt roll down the mountain, nor did i get eatin by a bear. =o).
then, there was the whole fire thing. we THOUGHT the fire had been put out. so we all went to bed. then, there was light in the tent. open the door, and low and behold, the fire had not been put out, and was flaming all nice. so out we go again, and put it out. for sure this time. no smoke, no hot embers or nothing. and it was 2 am. wow. haha
after that, i got up first cos i was tired of rolling down the mountain (lol) and the boys generously helped me move my tent up by roland and tara's tent. so there was the ellis mansion up on the hill, and then my lil red neck tent right next to it. lol.
thursday, we went to this lake and i thought i was going to die. seriously. it was the worst road i had EVER been on. it was barely big enough for two vehicles to fit. and it was seriously on the side of a mountain. i could see the tops of the trees. TALL trees. and i was looking down at their tops as we drove up this horrid mountain. and i told sammy last night, thank God he was with me, otherwise, i never would have made it. i told the kids in the truck, i couldn't do it. but he kept telling me we could, and relieving tension by being sammy, and we eventually made it up. =) then had to get back down the mountain. and i kept telling tara thanks for helping with that, as i was purely petrified of it all. but i was able. and now i'm smiling and living to tell about it.
had to come home for work a little bit during the day on friday. that was no fun. but at least got some extra hours on the clock, and was able to go back up friday night. then back home early saturday morning for work. i had such a blast camping and can't wait to go again. in like 2 weeks!!! =o) then camping again the week after that. it's going to be a blast of a month!!!

after camping, sunday night church was just wow. that's all i can say about it. wow. it was just so amazing. we got out after 10!!!! it was so ....... wow. if you weren't there, you missed it. that's all i can say.

well, that's about it for now kids. off to finish unloading from camping, and gotta clean up and get ready for work.

sonia
that's all i have

No bees and no bears because there is just nothingness up there. Its so desolate that even the bears don't inhabit that place.......haha

Now now... I talked to the camp ranger dude... and he said something about there being a mommy bear and a cub... but they hadn't been there in about a week... and bro carlos said he saw a bear down the mountain that was just walking across the road. and no bee's cos it was too high of an altitude? i have no idea. just glad i didn't get eating by anything. =) but your right miss naya! nothing up there... not even cell phone reception!!! yeah. so. nothingness up there...
